The Jan Koniarek Gallery in Trnava

The Jan Koniarek Gallery in Trnava, founded in 1976, is a regional art collection and exhibition institution that focuses its activities and research tasks on documentation and presentation of Slovak art of the 20th and 21st century, with particular regard to the work of artists from the Trnava region; or of those who worked in this region. The exhibition is realized in Koppel Villa and Synagogue – Centre of Contemporary Art. JKG organizes a major international periodical event – the Trnava Triennial Poster, which is a competition of posters and authorial prints organized since 1991. Besides the exhibition activities, it focuses on editorial activity (annual catalogues, publications on major exhibitions).
