The Jan Koniarek Gallery in Trnava, founded in 1976, is a regional art collection and exhibition institution that focuses its activities and research tasks on documentation and presentation of Slovak art of the 20^th and 21^st century, with particular regard to the work of artists from the Trnava region; or of those who worked in this region. The exhibition is realized in Koppel Villa and Synagogue – Centre of Contemporary Art. JKG organizes a major international periodical event – the Trnava Triennial Poster, which is a competition of posters and authorial prints organized since 1991. Besides the exhibition activities, it focuses on editorial activity (annual catalogues, publications on major exhibitions).
