The Spiš Artists’ Gallery is one of the youngest collector institutions in Slovakia, and was founded in 1987. The profile of the gallery is based on the relevant charter, defining its scope of activity within professional fine art scene with a priority focus on the art of the Spiš region. In recent years, its scope of interest has expanded from regional to broader national and European space. The collection fund includes various works of art – paintings, drawings, graphics, illustrations, photographs, sculpture and intermedia works. The artworks of the collection are presented in three permanent exhibitions - Terra Gothica - Gothic path from gallery collections presenting Gothic themes, exhibition dedicated to the work of Jozef Hanula and Garden of Art, in which works of sculpture symposia are presented.
