The Liptov Gallery of Peter Michal Bohúň was founded in 1955. It serves as space for exhibitions, cultural and educational activities, publishing, collecting and protection of artworks. There are about 5,200 works of art in the collection. There are permanent exhibitions held in the gallery: Old Art; Bohúň’s Hall; Portrait, landscape, genre; Modernism – 20th Century, The Figures of Fine Arts in Liptov and Small and Large Exhibition Hall, where temporary exhibitions are held. The Koloman Sokol Gallery serves as a permanent exhibition space for his works, whereas the ground floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions.
